EDWARD BOUCHER JR
Co-founder and president of JAMINFRANCE, Edward was born in Manchester, Jamaica. He majored in French and International Relations at the University of the West Indies.
He later became an English language business trainer and created a language training company called Supreme English.
He is currently a part-time lecturer at the University of Paris Nanterre 10 and a teacher at the Ecole Internationale Bilingue where he is Head of Grade 7 and the UNESCO coordinator. Edward has recently started reading for a Law degree at the University of Sorbonne Paris.
Hailing from the parish of Hanover in Jamaica, Marcia, co-founder of JAMINFRANCE, migrated to France over 30 years ago. With a minimum grasp of the French language upon arrival in Paris, she pursued language studies for a few years, and then ventured into the hotel industry, where she still is today.
Her passion is trying to make everyone feel at home away from home, no matter their origin. For her, the association is long overdue. It will allow her and her fellow Jamaicans to share the Jamaican culture with the French.
Toni studied at the University of the West Indies and has been living in France for over 10 years. She is a qualified translator.
Jamaica Chapter Representative
After living in Paris for 30 years, Leonie relocated to Jamaica in 2015, where she is now a French lecturer at Shortwood Teachers' College in Kingston. She is also a trained translator. During her years in France, she was an English lecturer, and had the distinction of creating a college course on Bob Marley.
Leonie has a passion for French and French culture, and brings this passion to her role of coordinator of the Jamaica chapter of JAMINFRANCE
